World Football Arena

 

Another project from when I was at Crush+Lovely, this time working with Banter, an awesome agency that works within the Facebook platform. World Football Arena is an incredibly feature-rich Facebook application meant to coincide with the soccer World Cup. Stuff like text message updates of match results, the ability to create pools, getting notifications about your favorite teams and players, and other features were all packed into one app so powerful that it could almost be its own social network.

I was tasked with designing several pages and a few icons of the application, including pages for viewing teams, players, and several others features. I always thought it was somewhat jarring to suddenly switch from one interface to something completely different on the same website, so I decided to keep the UI as close to Facebook's native look as possible. I had a lot of fun with this one. It was different to work in such a rigid set of design rules, but I really liked it.
